【摘要】:1.1Thepurposeofthisstandardistospecifyliquid-in-glassASTMthermometersusinglowhazardthermometricliquidsdefinedinthisstandard.1.2Thisstandardspecifiesliquid-in-glassthermometersgraduatedindegreesCelsiusordegreesFahrenheitthatarefrequentlyidentifiedandusedinmethodsunderthejurisdictionofthevarioustechnicalcommitteeswithinASTM.ThecurrentapprovedthermometersarelistedinTable1.1.3ThetechnicalrequirementsforthethermometricliquidsusedinthethermometersinTable1arespecifiedinAnnexA1.TestsforconformitytothetechnicalrequirementsarealsofoundinAnnexA1.Note18212;IthasbeenfoundbyexperiencethatASTMThermometers,althoughdevelopedingeneralforspecifictests,mayalsobefoundsuitableforotherapplications,thusprecludingtheneedfornewthermometerspecificationsdifferinginonlyminorfeatures.However,itissuggestedthattechnicalcommitteescontactE20.05beforechoosingacurrentlydesignatedthermometerforanewmethodtobesurethethermometerwillbesuitablefortheintendedapplication.1.4Forfullrationale,seeAppendixX1.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
