【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisspecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD3995exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Thesignificanceanduseofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverstheminimumperformancerequirementsformen''sandwomen''sknittedfabricsfordressandvocationalcareerapparelcomposedofanytextilefiberormixturesoftextilefibers.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletocareerapparelfabricssuchasthoseusedinprotectiveclothing,thatdonotpatentlyfitthecategoriesin3.1.1and3.1.2.Minimumperformancespecificationsforsuchfabricsshouldbeasagreedbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.1.3Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosefactorswhereeachfabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarystatementpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
