【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversporousmetallicsleeve,flange,thrust,andsphericaliron-basebearingsthatareproducedfrommixedmetalpowderutilizingpowdermetallurgy(PM)technologyandthenimpregnatedwithoiltosupplyoperatinglubrication.1.2Includedarethespecificationsforthechemical,physical,andmechanicalrequirementsofthoseferrousPMmaterialsthathavebeendevelopedandstandardizedspecificallyforuseinthemanufactureoftheseself-lubricatingbearings.1.3ThisspecificationaccompaniesSpecificationB438/B438MthatcoverstherequirementsforBronze-BasePowderMetallurgy(PM)Bearings(Oil-Impregnated).1.4Typicalapplicationsforiron-basebearingsarediscussedinAppendixX1.1.5CommercialbearingdimensionaltolerancedataareshowninAppendixX2,whileengineeringinformationregardinginstallationandoperatingparametersofPMbearingsisincludedinAppendixX3.Additionalusefulinformationonself-lubricatingbearingscanbefoundinMPIFStandard35(Bearings)andthetechnicalliterature.1.6Withtheexceptionofdensityvaluesforwhichtheg/cm3unitistheindustrystandard,thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsdescribedinthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
