Scope:This specification covers an alkaline rust remover compound in the form of a liquid concentrate or water-soluble powder for dilution with water. This product has been used typically for removing rust from aircraft turbine engine parts by immersion in a solution of the compound at elevated temperature, but usage is not limited to such applications. These compounds are unsuitable for cleaning aluminum parts.
